This is a photographic tour of the walled city in the heart of Moscow,the world-famous Kremlin,a major monument of Russian history and art.The Kremlin on its mound is an imposing architectural ensemble,strange and beautiful.It is also unique as an accumulated relic of the centuries of Russian history.This venerable cluster of royal and religious contains such architectural gems as the cathedrals of the Assumption,of the Annunciation and of the Archangel,the Ivan the Great belfry and the Teremnoy(Belvedere) palace.Icons and murals painted by Theophanes the Greek (Feofan Grek),Andrei Rublyov and Dionysius-the greatest artist of ancient Rus-are preserved in its churches.
